Terms & Conditions
Version 1.2 · Effective 13 August 2026
1. Who we are
AI League is a free-to-play live quiz platform for people who work in, study, or are curious about artificial intelligence and data science. It is operated by KUERY TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, a private limited company incorporated in India, with its registered office at Smartworks, Sr No 43, 43 Privet Drive, Commercial, Baner Gaon, Haveli, Pune – 411045, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us", "our").
In these Terms, "you" means anyone who creates an account, joins a contest, or otherwise uses the AI League mobile app or aileague.co.in (together, the "Platform").
Reach us at contact@aileague.co.in.
2. Agreeing to these Terms
Creating an account means you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community Guidelines, and our Contest & Prize Terms. Read them. If you don't accept them, don't create an account.
Where any of those other documents says something more specific than these Terms about the same subject, the more specific document wins for that subject.
3. Who can play
To use AI League you must be 18 years of age or older, resident in India, and able to receive a one-time password on an Indian mobile number.
We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and we act on the answer. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and cancel any prize claim attached to it. Giving us a false date of birth is a breach of these Terms.
4. Your account
One person, one account. That is not a formality — every contest is ranked, and multiple accounts distort the ranking for everybody else.
You are responsible for keeping your phone number and device secure. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Never share an OTP with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from AI League. We will never ask you for your OTP.
You get a randomly generated display handle. You may change it once. We may reclaim or reset a handle that impersonates someone, misleads people, or breaks our Community Guidelines.
Keep your details accurate. If your address is wrong, your prize goes to the wrong place, and that is not something we can fix after dispatch.
5. What AI League is — and what it is not
AI League is an online social game. Contests are offered for entertainment, recreation and skill-building.
Plainly, and permanently:
- You never pay to play. There is no entry fee, no deposit, no stake, no wallet, no in-app currency, no subscription. Every contest is free to join.
- You cannot stake anything on an outcome. No feature of AI League lets you wager, and we will not build one.
- Prizes are awarded on merit, based on your rank in a contest, as set out in the Contest & Prize Terms. Where two or more players tie for a prizewinning rank, the combined value of the tied positions is divided equally between them, rounded down to the whole rupee, with an equal-value voucher standing in for any physical prize that can't be split.
- AI League is not a source of income and must not be treated as one. It's a quiz.
We do not offer, promote, or facilitate betting, gambling, wagering, or online money gaming of any kind.
6. How contests work
The short version: everyone in the contest sees the same question at the same moment, and each question has its own countdown timer. A correct answer scores +1.00, a wrong answer scores −0.25, and a question you don't answer in time counts as wrong (−0.25).
Ranking is decided by four measures in order — final score, then total time taken, then longest correct streak, then how far you got before your first wrong answer. If two or more players are identical on all four, it is a genuine tie: they take the same rank and share the prize — the combined value of the positions they occupy is divided equally, rounded down to the whole rupee, and because a physical item can't be split, each tied winner receives an equal-value voucher instead. Join time is used only to order the leaderboard — it never breaks a tie or decides who wins.
Full rules, scoring detail and tie-breakers are in the Contest & Prize Terms and on the in-app Contest Rules, How to Play and Scoring & Tie-Breakers screens. They are part of these Terms.
We may change contest formats, question counts, timers, scoring or schedules. Changes announced before a contest opens apply to that contest. We won't change the rules of a contest that is already running.
7. Our records decide the result
This is the important one, so it's in plain words.
AI League is a live, synchronised contest. Your phone, your network and our server are never perfectly in step. What your screen shows and what our server recorded can differ by a moment — and a moment is enough to change a rank.
The record on our server is final. That covers:
- whether your answer arrived before the question closed;
- the exact time your answer was recorded, which decides the time-based tie-breaker;
- your score, your streak, and your rank.
The countdown on your screen is a display. It is not the timer. If your answer does not reach our server inside the window, it did not count — regardless of what your device showed, and regardless of why it didn't arrive.
We are not liable for answers lost or delayed by network drops, congestion, latency, low battery, device failure, an incoming call, or anything else on your side or in between. If you think a result is genuinely wrong, raise it through Help & Support and we will look at our logs. Our determination on the result is final.
8. Fair play
Contests are ranked, and prizes are real. So — don't:
- run more than one account, or play on someone else's;
- use a bot, script, emulator, automation, modified client, or any tool that answers for you or reads the question feed;
- look up answers during a live contest, or take them from anyone else;
- share, post, screenshot, record, stream, or transcribe questions while a contest is live — this ruins the contest for everyone else in it and is treated as cheating, not sharing;
- coordinate with other players to game rankings;
- interfere with, probe, reverse-engineer, or attempt to overload the Platform or our live contest engine.
Backgrounding. While a contest is running, the app detects when you leave it. Switching away mid-contest is treated as a fair-play signal and may cause your session to be flagged or ended. Answer the questions or don't — but don't go looking elsewhere.
If we reasonably believe you have broken fair play, we may void your score, remove you from the leaderboard, withhold or reclaim a prize, restrict features, or close your account. We'll tell you what we found. We are not obliged to reveal the detection methods themselves — publishing them would simply tell the next person how to get around them.
9. Content you post
You are responsible for anything you put on the Platform — your handle, your avatar, and anything you send us through Help & Support.
You confirm you have the right to post it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store and display that content for the purpose of running the Platform — showing your avatar on a leaderboard, for example. That licence ends when the content is deleted, except where we have to keep a copy to comply with the law or to resolve an open dispute.
We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use it for marketing without asking you first.
10. Our intellectual property
The AI League name and logo, the app, the website, the live contest engine, and the entire question bank — questions, answer options, explanations and tips content — belong to us or our licensors.
The question bank is the thing AI League is actually made of. You may read questions to play. You may not copy, extract, scrape, republish, sell, train a model on, or build a derivative question set from them.
"AI LEAGUE" is a trade mark we use and claim rights in. A trade mark application is pending.
11. Communications
By creating an account you agree to receive:
- OTP and security messages by SMS. These are transactional and required — you can't turn them off and still log in.
- Service messages about your contests, results, prizes and support requests, by push notification and in-app.
- Contest announcements by push notification.
You can turn push notifications off at any time in your device settings, and control in-app notification types in the app. Turning them off may mean you miss a contest going live. If we ever send marketing messages, they will be clearly marked and separately opt-out-able.
12. When we can restrict or close your account
We may suspend, restrict or close your account if you break these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law; if we reasonably suspect fraud, cheating or multiple accounts; or if we're required to by a court or a competent authority.
For Community Guidelines breaches we normally follow the three-step process set out in those Guidelines. For cheating and fraud we may act immediately, because leaving a cheat in a live contest harms everyone else in it.
If your account is closed, you lose access to your contest history and any pending prize claim. You can appeal through Help & Support within 30 days.
13. Changes to the Platform
We're an early-stage product and we're building fast. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features, contests or the whole Platform. We'll give reasonable notice where we can. We won't cancel a prize you have already properly won.
14. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements. It will have bugs.
We are not responsible for:
- your inability to reach the Platform because of network, device, operating-system or app-store issues;
- results affected by anything covered in clause 7;
- the quality, suitability or performance of a prize supplied by a third party — those come with the maker's or the voucher issuer's own terms;
- content posted by other users.
Question content is written for a quiz. It is not professional, technical, academic or career advice.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any claim framed as loss of a prize you did not win, loss of rank, or loss of opportunity.
Because AI League is free to use and you pay us nothing, our total liability to you for any and all claims is limited to the value of the prize you had properly and finally won and which we then failed to deliver — and nothing more.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your unlawful use of the Platform.
17. Grievances
We have an internal grievance mechanism and a named Grievance Officer. Full details, timelines and escalation routes are in the Grievance Redressal document. Please use Help & Support first — it reaches the same team faster.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
If something goes wrong, write to us first at contact@aileague.co.in. We'll try to resolve it within 30 days.
If it can't be resolved, the dispute goes to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. Seat and venue: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Language: English. The courts at Lucknow have exclusive jurisdiction for anything not covered by arbitration, and for interim relief.
19. General
If a clause is held invalid, the rest survives. Our not enforcing something once doesn't mean we've given it up. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a business transfer; your rights are unaffected. These Terms are the whole agreement between us about the Platform.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app before they take effect, and the version and effective date at the top will change. Continuing to use AI League after that means you accept the new version.
