Contest & Prize Terms

Version 1.2 · Effective 13 August 2026

These apply every time you join a contest, on top of the main Terms.

1. Free entry

Every contest is free. No entry fee, no deposit, no stake, ever. You are never required to pay anything, watch anything, or buy anything to join or to win.

2. Eligibility

18+, resident in India, one account, account in good standing, dispatch details complete. Our team and their immediate families can play but are not eligible for prizes.

3. Format

  • A fixed number of questions per contest, shown before you join.
  • Each question has its own countdown timer.
  • Every player in a contest sees the same question at the same moment — it's a live broadcast, not a self-paced quiz.
  • Once submitted, an answer is locked. No changes.
  • You must join before the contest starts. Late joins are not possible.

4. Scoring

Correct
+1.00
Wrong
−0.25
Not answered
0

The negative mark for a wrong answer is deliberate. Guessing at random should cost you something.

5. Tie-breakers

Where two players finish level, we compare these in order:

  • Final score
  • Total time taken — measured on our server, across all your answers
  • Longest streak of consecutive correct answers
  • First wrong answer position — the player who got further before their first mistake ranks higher
  • If they remain identical after all four, it is a true tie — they share the same rank and split the prize: the combined value of the tied positions is divided equally, rounded down to the whole rupee, with an equal-value voucher in place of any physical item that can't be split. Join time only sets leaderboard order; it does not break a tie.

This is the same rule everywhere in the app, and it does not change mid-contest.

6. Timing is measured on our server

Your answer time — which decides tie-breaker 2 — is the time our server recorded, not what your screen displayed. Clause 7 of the main Terms explains this in full and it applies here. If your answer doesn't reach us before that question's timer runs out, it counts as a wrong answer (−0.25).

7. Fair play

Clause 8 of the main Terms applies to every contest. Leaving the app mid-contest is detected and may end your session.

8. Prizes

  • Prizes are goods or vouchers, never cash. They are described on each contest's Rewards tab before you join.
  • Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or anything else.
  • Vouchers carry the issuer's own terms, expiry and conditions. We pass those on; we don't control them.
  • We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original becomes unavailable.
  • We may change or withdraw a prize structure before a contest opens. Never after it has started.
  • If two or more players tie for a prizewinning rank, the combined value of the tied positions is divided equally between them, rounded down to the whole rupee. Where a prize is a physical item that can't be split, tied winners receive an equal-value voucher of the same value instead.
  • Some contests set a passing mark — a minimum final score needed to win a prize. A player who finishes in a prizewinning rank but scores below it does not win, and that prize is not awarded. When a contest has a passing mark, it is shown on the contest's details before you join.

9. Claiming a prize

  • We contact you at your registered number or email after results are published.
  • You confirm your dispatch details within 14 days.
  • We dispatch, typically within 21 days of confirmation, to the address on your account.
  • We may ask for a government photo ID (PAN, driving licence, voter ID or passport) to confirm the person receiving matches the account. This is for delivery verification only, and we don't keep it after the prize is handed over.

If you don't respond within 14 days, the prize is forfeited and we have no further obligation. We'll chase you more than once, but we can't chase forever.

If your address is wrong or incomplete and the prize is returned undelivered, we'll try once more. After that it's forfeited.

10. Tax

Any tax on winnings is dealt with in accordance with Indian law. Where a deduction or payment is required before a prize in kind can be released, we will handle it lawfully, and we'll tell you clearly before dispatch if anything is needed from you.

11. Our decision on results

We publish leaderboards and an Answer Review after every contest so you can see exactly what you answered and what the correct answer was. If you believe there's a genuine error — a wrong answer key, a scoring bug — raise it through Help & Support within 7 days of the result. We'll check our logs. Our determination is final.

12. Cancellation

We may cancel or reschedule a contest for technical failure, a fault in the question set, or anything outside our reasonable control. If a contest is cancelled after it has started, no prizes are awarded for it and we'll say so. We'll try to reschedule.
